What if I want to be on a team, but some of my team members will be walking and others will be running? Does that make a difference?
No. All of your team members are free to walk or run as they wish.
How will I know when new people register for my team?
Yes. You will receive an email when a new person registers for your team. You will also be given access to your team roster online.
Is my race time shared with anyone else and/or does it count for or against my team totals?
Your time will appear as you cross the finish line and then will be e-mailed to you if you provided an email address at registration. Even though you are part of a team, the walk/run is an individual time. The purpose of the team is to encourage people to come out together and support one another, not to walk/run as a relay or for a team time.
Do I have to wait to register until I have gathered all the names of my team members?
No. Each member on the team can register separately at different times. They just need to choose the proper team name at the time of their registration. The team captain or person who initially creates the team will have this name.

Can we walk our dog in the event?
Certainly, dogs are welcome. Did you know that dogs and cats need breast exams because they can get breast cancer too?
Volunteering
How can I volunteer?
Just send an email to volunteer@PATHtothecure.org letting us know that you’d like to volunteer to help and we’ll put you on the list. Put VIP in the subject line. We call our volunteers VIP’s (Volunteers In Pink) because we couldn’t do this without them. VIP’s are very important to making event day fun for everyone.
Contests
How do we enter the Best T-shirt, Best Team Name and Most Team Spirit contests?
There will be a station on the day of the event where you need to sign up to be judged.
How do we enter the Best Decorated Business contest?
There’s no need to enter. If you’re decorated, we assume you’re playing with us. We’ll have judges walking the event course and looking at all the businesses along the route.
Your Story
When I register, I’m given an opportunity to tell "My Story". I want to register now, but I want to think about my story a little bit before I send it in. Can I send in my story after I register?
Yes. Just send your story to us in an email to info@pathtothecure.org with “Our Stories” in the subject line.
(Please note: Submitting your story gives us permission to share it on our website and on our Facebook page. If you just want to share your story with us but don’t want it published to these sites, please tell us not to publish it publicly in your email.)
